Disneyland Paris choir comes to us for Christmas
A choir that performed at Disneyland Paris during its recent 25th anniversary will be entertaining you for free this Thursday evening when you join us for our last Christmas market of the year.
The 20-strong vocal harmony group, Amplify, will be at our Christmas market on December 20 here at The White Hart.
The Bristol-based singers perform unique arrangements written by Rachel Mason, who is Amplify’s Musical Director and was a judge on Sky1’s Sing: Ultimate A Cappella, with added smooth moves choreographed by Emma Mason, professional dancer and choreographer for some of Team GB’s gymnasts.
This is the last in our series of three fun, festive markets, which we’ve held in our wonderful all-weather garden and tepee, with its open fire and twinkling fairy lights, so we’re really pleased this well-respected choir will be singing for us once again. We’ve lots of lovely stallholders coming along too, selling everything from locally-made and sourced food items to festive decorations and interesting gift ideas.
Those attending include: Neal’s Yard Remedies, Woodcycle Designs with upcycled wood and glass items, Suss It Out knitted wear and jewellery, Frontalis Clinic – Skin Aesthetics, The Incredible Brewing Company, Old Faithful men’s cosmetics, a brass candlesticks stall, textiles from Nepal and lots of unique, arts and craft gift ideas. The City Garden Shop will also be selling small Christmas trees, holly and individual floral arrangements and taking orders.
Our market starts at 6pm and run until 9pm. Our Venga bus will be running on a free transport loop during the evening to and from our sister restaurant and tapas bar, Venga in the High Street, Portishead. Our last bus back to Portishead will be at 9pm.
As well as all the stallholders and the choir, we’re hosting a drinks stall offering mulled wine and cider, and all three of our normal bars will be open too.
Our chefs will serve-up special dishes for you to purchase and eat on site throughout the evening too. Meanwhile, Santa may be making an appearance and his elves will be collecting any letters children wish to write to him before the big day.
Our last Christmas market of the year runs from 6-9pm this Thursday, December 20. Entry is free. For further details, please call us on 01275 818702.
